Like many youth charities, Sport4Life delivers a wide mix of learning programmes aimed at NEET and EET young people. These range from structured multi-day courses to open-access drop-in sessions. But as demand grew, so did the cracks in their systems.
Their old platform was limiting. They could only manage one referral form at a time, struggled to track attendance across different session types and were losing time manually coordinating communications. That’s when they switched to Makerble Workflow.
Multiple pathways, one platform
With Makerble, Sport4Life can now build and manage unlimited referral forms, each tailored to a specific programme or course. Every young person’s journey is tracked from first referral through to attendance, assessment and progression - all in one place. Weekly drop-ins and multi-day courses each have their own custom workflows, so staff always know who’s where, who’s due next, and what stage each participant is at.
Smarter referrals with Verdicts
One of the biggest time-savers has been Makerble’s Verdicts feature, which enables staff to carry out initial assessments that automatically score and classify each new referral. This means the right young people are placed on the right programmes from the start - cutting down admin and boosting outcomes.
Automation that keeps young people engaged
Sport4Life has also embraced Makerble’s automation tools. Young people now get SMS reminders before sessions they’ve signed up for; this increases attendance and reducing dropouts. Staff can send email updates to targeted lists of participants, either directly from Makerble or via a Mailchimp integration for branded campaigns.
From overwhelmed to in control
By adopting Makerble Workflow, Sport4Life hasn’t just streamlined how they operate - they’ve gained back the time, insight and energy to focus on what matters: helping more young people access opportunities, stay engaged and achieve their potential.
