Makerble and CAPACITI partner to improve the employment prospects of the next generation of South Africans

We’re excited to share that Makerble is now working with CAPACITI, a South Africa–based organisation dedicated to preparing young people for meaningful careers in the digital economy.

CAPACITI has built a strong reputation for delivering high-quality, demand-led skills programmes that open doors to employment and entrepreneurship. Their work sits at the intersection of education and business; identifying skills gaps noticed by employers, training young people in those specific areas and then supporting those learners into employment.

Matt Kepple, CEO at Makerble says "The CAPACITI team have such energy, creativity and motivation. I'm honoured and excited to see Makerble come alongside to streamline their operations and ensure that the full spectrum of their impact is accounted for."

As CAPACITI has grown, the internal systems have struggled to keep pace with the breadth of depth of the programmes being delivered. Teams have been expertly managing a myriad of spreadsheets but ultimately this is not sustainable. Through this collaboration, Makerble will support CAPACITI to:

  • Capture learner journeys in a structured, human-centred way - a centralised timeline for each learner
  • Track progress and outcomes across programmes and cohorts
  • Build a clearer picture of how skills development translates into opportunity and impact
  • Generate insight that informs programme design, delivery and continuous improvement

Rather than impact measurement being something that happens only at the end of a programme, the focus is on embedding reflection and learning throughout to create feedback loops that benefit learners, tutors, partners and funders.

We’re proud to be working alongside CAPACITI and look forward to seeing how this collaboration supports their mission in the months and years ahead.
